We are big coffee lovers and drink a lot of decaf due to not liking the tension caffeine was causing. I catch myself tensing and jutting my jaw when I drink caffeine among other symptoms, motor mouth etc. So we are big decaf drinkers and have been through the gamut looking for good decaf at a good price. I was delighted when I discovered this coffee-- the flavor is perfect by my standards- dark and rich but not at all bitter. It's a "dark" roast but not like dark french, it does not have the smokey, acrid flavor you typically associate withe "dark roasts". It produces a beautiful nut-brown crema during pour-over (our preferred method). I found that during the pandemic, the distribution seemed to suffer, it was N/A, prices fluctuated, came back to normal, then it N/A again for some time now. We're really hoping to see it come back soon. Even the Starbucks and other alternatives we've been having aren't as much to our liking. Curiously- I decided to give the Kirkland caffeinated companion option a try--we add 20 to 50% caffeinated to our decaf brew depending on how jacked up we want to be-- and I found that to be disappointing. I anticipated the flavor etc to be similar/the same but it was not at all. Looking eagerly forward to when Kirkland Signature 100% Colombian Dark Roast Decaf comes back to the shelves!Was very pleased to be able to finally get decaf. Thank you guys for selling it, the Costco's on the Big Island stopped carrying kirkland dark roast decaf.
